The Isle of Long Lost Dreams

Behold the Isle of Long-Lost Dreams.
There are many on the shore it seems,
Who've crawled from sea and shipwreck mess
Upon this isle for final rest.

Once brave, these dreams, on open sea,
  Plotted course towards lands mighty.
From captain's chair a vision formed:
   Ocean conquered, new land stormed.

But raging winds and waves they came.
Life had happened all the same.
Now dreams lay stranded on these shores
   Resting here forevermore.

But rest upon these shores might be
A better dream than fighting sea.
The chaos left behind as test,
To see if He would be our rest.

The dreams might some day sail again,
But never venturing far from sand.
For these sweet shores are now the place
Where long-lost dreams live in His Grace.
