Scaled Perspective

I really wish I knew who to give credit to for these pictures. I got the e-mail forwarded from my mom. Louie Giglio did a presentation similar to this during his Indescribable tour. I found a copy that someone did with their video camera. God breathed the stars into existence?!?

Dude...

I am so ripped! Is it because I have been working out, or because I was bending over... You know, I am so glad that this didn't happen during the middle of the day. I am trying to figure out how I would have been able to continue teaching. It would have been a very precarious position that I would have been in.

The Demonstration

Somewhere, nestled near the outskirts of the Blue Ridge Mountains there is a school, and on this particular day everything was starting off in a nice, peaceful manner. All of the students could be found in their classrooms, learning their different topics in a quiet peaceful manner. The geometry students were learning geometry. The english students were learning english. The 3rd graders were learning 3rd graderey type stuff. And the spanish students were learning spanish... Things like the spanish words for "in" and "out"... But these spanish students were in for a surprise. They were going to be the recipients of a wonderful and memorable visual demonstration of "in" and "out". In... and out... and out... and more out... and shock... and awe... I knew there was a reason why I married her!

new background

Here is my newest from the NASA site . Here is a short Description: Light and Shadow in the Carina Nebula Previously unseen details of a mysterious, complex structure within the Carina Nebula (NGC 3372) are revealed by this image obtained by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope. The picture is a montage assembled from four different April 1999 telescope pointings with Hubble's Wide Field Planetary Camera 2, which used six different color filters.

Eating Healthy

We have really been trying to eat healthy around our house, so my wife went to a friend's house last night to pick up a few healthy eating tips. One of the things that she came back with is this salad. I don't know if the picture does it justice or not, but it was quite a salad. I felt really, really healthy while I was eating it. It was like a big glob of raw vegetables. It had a great dressing mixed in with it, but I really felt like what it was missing was a big bowl of tortilla chips. Does it look appetizing?

A Lesson from ER

You've probably already seen this, but I thought I would post it here anyway. I saw this when it first aired, and I thought that it was something quite interesting for these writers to do. All I could think about was how much I wanted to talk to this guy. (If he were real.)

Arthur Alligood

Mr. Adkins referred this music on his blog , so naturally I had to check it out. I have only listened to the first couple of songs so far, but I'm liking it. So, here you go:

I know...

I know that it has been a long time since I have really posted anything. Not that any of you have lost any sleep over my lack of posting... I have re-started my Let Me Not Wander blog. I really enjoy working on that blog. It doesn't get much traffic, but that has never really bothered me. The entire blog is meant to be a running verse-by-verse commentary of different passages. Instead of being a running commentary, it has turned out to me a meandering stroll commentary. I have now commentaried on over 400 different verses. That is a tiny little accomplishment, but one that I am happy about. I am really happy about the school that I am currently teaching at. It is Blue Ridge Christian Academy , but don't judge them on their website. They have a new one under construction right now. It is a beautiful school in a beautiful location. They have a great spirit and a real desire to do things God's way. I can honestly say that I have not been at a school that turns to ...
